Gambit’s powers are my 2nd fave xman powers, first being forge, so I’m glad they are showing him finally. Waiting for the bitchin’ special effects.

James: Stop being an idiot, those were pulled from an outdoor movie theater that was just showing the trailer, probably at comic con. in anycase trailers are not the main part of the movie, during the movie there is no cheering, and if there is, youre probably doing it too.

The dude lived so long, he could have been a part of the American Military. They already said that Stryker was the one who gave him his Adamantium, and Stryker is American. That’s all. Never said Wolvie was.

I’m looking forward to this immensely and I love Deadpool and am a fan of Ryan Reynolds but it looks like they have ruined the look of deadpool. No mask, no scars just a red tank top. WTF?!? Then it hit me and got cranked it up a notch *BAM* it must be his training uniform or what not, right?!? Wrong. So annoyed was I that I went back through the trailer and well Stryker says ‘I’m putting together a team’ the footage shows the ‘team’ stood in a forest or woods and a flash o lighting strikes revealing them, so I paused it and low and behold, red tank top no mask. Now I thinks the film looks awesome so far and I’m pretty sure Mr Reynolds will give a great performance as the character suits his main acting style. But I wish they would keep the costume ride, deadpool has a great costume and and….and I feel a little bit better now. phew. Anyway looks awesome

I do believe it was stated in one of the other recent X-Men movies that Wolverine is canadien. Fromt he comics he did serve with the US army during WWII, he was right along side Captain America and it does seem they will be showing at least some of that.
As for the claws as a kid, it is possible that will be an implanted memory since Stryker did have memorys planted into Wolverine

lester – In the origin comics Logan had bone claws onto which admantium was placed.

This movie is gonna be the SH**. I don’t know why they didn’t put the rest of the X-men on the first movies. I think they should have all of them in one movie. Including Psylocke, Jubalee, and Bishop.

Deadpool will probably get his mask and cover his scarred appereance later on in the movie. At first he is, after all a stonecold killer/mercenary. Then later when he gets his powers, couldn’t deal with his illness (cancer) and is abused and tortured in the “workshop” he gets his scarred appereance, slowly loses his sanity, gets his demented sense of humor and becomes the Deadpool we all love.

damn this looks awsome been waiting for this movie forever Wolverine and Gambit are my two favorites of the Marvel Comics the only prob is the Gambit in the movie he does look gay and looks like they didn’t even try to get the true Gambit style of the comics with the badass eyes and style The rest is looking good.

I think this movie is gonna kick sooo much ass. I also think they will be adding Gambits special effects (eyes, glowing cards etc), at least they better. I am actually very happy with the way they have done this.

As for the kid having claws….bone claws…not adamantium. I think that was mentioned in another post though. I am very interested in this movie and will most likely be there opening night….probably in costume too ^.^

Ok, I’ll admit the movie looks bad ass!!!! but lets not forget that sabertooth is supposed to have a considerable height (for live action at least 6 inches over logan). as for the claws as a kid logan or james howlet as the real fans no him, always had bone claws. i will refer to the age of apocolypse series in the ninties wen magneto ripps out the metal of logan and he still has claws and his mutation advances. see the resent wolverine origins series wen he discovers the claws wen the army is wiping his memory out. the orginal guy from x men 1 should be sabertooth. the movie willl do great even though there are some historical errors the movie will play out nicely. and i wanna see omega red

Love the inclusion of Gambit – I agree with the other posts in that he has to have the glowing eyes and other special effects that encapsulate his mutant powers – I just wonder what they’ll do about his Louisiana Creole French accent…

WOW. This could be as good as Iron Man or better. Could be as good as the Dark Knight. On another note, folks you have got to be kidding me. I’m not die-hard into comics but I do know movies. There is no way in hell you are going to get all the comic book accuracy you want from a 2 minute trailer. There could be more to this film than you realize. You want accuracy? If Soundwave was in Transformers, would you really have seen the movie? No, a cassette deck in the ipod generation would make no damn sense. Would you have seen it if a gigantic Megatron transformed into a little handgun like the cartoon? NO. It would have bombed at the box office. Some changes are worth the risk of accuracy. Don’t act like all you comic fans aren’t gonna be at the Wolverine movie opening day. I know I am, bub.

Wolverine is not Canadian folks. Yes he was on the Canadian secrect strike force for a while but he is not FROM there. And i dont understand why your so upset with that. From the moment they cast Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and let him get his ass whooped by Mystique it was obvious they werent staying true to the comics. Wolvie is like 4’5 in the comics not 6’2 or 6’3 like Jackman is. And he spent ALOT of time in Japan learning martial arts and even got married over there at one point but in the movies they make him more of a brawler and slow type fighter instead of knowing martial arts and being a more smooth finesse type fighter like he is supposed to be. So stop complaining about the little things like a dogtag when they have already shown they arent going by the comics with HUGE changes like the main 2 i just mentioned….

Again, Wolverine, James Howlett, aka Logan has claws that are made of bone. In some adaptations Wolverine isn’t actually indestructible. His bones can break and he can’t regenerate them. But during the procedure to cover all over Wolverine’s bones with adamantium, an indestructible metal alloy, he becomes pretty much just that. Hence, the quote from the trailer “spent a half a billion dollars making him indestructible” in the released trailer…check it out on imdb. I think this movie is going to be good. Comic book movies are not for purist. You’ll always find some flaw if you look hard enough. Take these movies as is. Can’t wait for this and Watchmen.

James, yeah, that is how we do it here in the states….. we like to interact with our movies. Look into local shows of Rocky Horror Picture Show near you and go watch it. I'm old enough to remember in Star Trek 2 when Spok dies, there were adults standing in there seats yelling no! and sobbing when he died. We get attached to our characters and our stories here.

Crunchy, I love Canada however you telling those two to get a brain just makes it look like you need one yourself. Canada did not beat the US in that war, the British Empire did. An empire that America took its independence from about 90 years before you guys had it more or less given to you thanks to John MacDonald and the BNA Act of i believe 1869. While we've enjoyed over 200 years of independence, you guys still need the "Queen's consent" for legislation in a way, and also your country is still ont he brink of dissolution, thank you gilles duceppe.

I think it's kind of silly to change Wolverines background, so what if he is Canadian. You may think you know stuff about Wolvie from any comics you have read in the last decade (i stopped reading them a little after the Onslaught storyline when they started the "New X-Men" look. But if you read comics before that then you would know how Wolverine really was. And actually a lot of true fans were mad that they gave him the bone claws after Magneto stripped his adamantium because his TRUE origin was first told they made it known that the ONLY thing Wolverine was born with was his healing factor and heightened senses, everything else was added by the Weapon X program. And if you tell me im wrong dont just say that , give me some facts to refer to . You can look up what im telling you in the older comics and then come talk aight bud.

Now show me the proof this is all wrong and I will believe it. However, even if in the early comics the claws were not made out of bone, they were in the ones following, there are many alternatives in the comics because there was always different comic routes. That being said I still want to see proof that his claws were added by X.
