We all wish the 2 later ones (one 97 s70 and and one 98 s70) performed like the 91 wagon (not diesel, forgot the model number). It is still a great vehicle. I feel very safe in it. I do agree with the comment about declining quality. I sincerely wish it wasn't true, but I couldn't see ever buying a Volvo again, despite being such a staunch advocate for it for years.
