THE PININFARINA B0 (B Zero) Electric Car
THE PININFARINA B0 (B Zero) Electric CarWelcome to Italy. Yet another electric car will hit Italian streets in the near future. The Pininfarina B0 (B Zero) electric car debuted at the Paris Auto Show alongside its competitor, the Tazzari Zero, which has a few things the other “Zero” doesn’t.
First, it’s got a 153-mile range and goes 80mph. It’s not any faster than the Tazzari, though, doing 0-60 in about 12.5 seconds. It has advanced solar panels in the rooftop, however, which powers some of the car’s internals like climate control and battery cooling. They’re integrated really well and look almost as Sweet.
The B0 goes into production late next year in Turin, Italy and will probably be limited in its first release to a couple of hundred, but as demand increases, the company plans to raise those numbers. It’s interesting to note that this car passes European safety standards, so will likely be able to pass North American standards as well. Why is that important? Because Bollore has a plant in Montreal, Canada, which could mean the cars could end up here too.
