The iPhone Photography of Greg Schmigel

Armed with only an iPhone 4 and an eye for fleeting opportunity, photographer Greg Schmigel scours the dank streets of bustling metropolises searching for his muse. Sometimes that inspiration is racing across a crowded crosswalk en route to who knows where. Sometimes it’s staring contemplatively skyward wondering who knows what. Where Schmigel’s unsuspecting subjects are going or what they’re thinking is of no real consequence, of course; it’s the individual interpretation of his colorless moments in time that make his growing collection of images intriguing, mesmerizing and, at times, uncomfortably voyeuristic.
