Sprint Nextel stock rose as much as % 9.6 yesterday on reports that Deutsche Telekom is mulling a possible takeover bid.
A combination could make the german company’s T-Mobile USA unit the largest wireless company in the US, The Wall Street journal said sunday.
The journal also reported that Sprint Nextel executives are also considering selling the struggling Nextel unit. which the company paid a massive $35 billion for in 2005.
