Check out the new Posters for the upcoming Robert Rodriguez flick Red Sonja, StartingROse McGowan. They havent started filming yet, As of now, they’re still finding locations to shoot and finishing casting with an expected start date in the fall of 09.

    I thought this had been shuttered, along with his planned remake of Barbarella, due to Rodriguez and McGowan no longer being an item.

    I am great fan Robert Rodriguez and I love Rose Mcgowan. This film looks like its going to be good. Maybe as a good as planet terror or even better.

    No, this isn’t a reference to the Mortal Kombat “Sonja.” Think Conan with long red hair and boobs… that’s the image I have when I think of the original Red Sonja movie from the 80s. but comparing this to Blood Rayne is just wrong since we don’t know anything about it yet. “It looks like absolute garbage”? “will be a massive flop”? Based on what? A title, the director, and lead actress cast? Sure, it won’t be TDK or even Iron Man, but give them a chance before calling it garbage. I want to see a trailer at least before I condemn it.

    Rose McGowan is as sexy as they come. She one of my favourite actress and believe me she has got the body to play Red Sonja. In Planet terror she looks so sexy but i need something else with her in a different movie. I cant wait to see her half naked body with that Red hair while she is killing them demons with her sword. But I still love dark long hair.

    I dont think this is going to be very good. As much as I have liked watching Rose in her other roles, she isnt Red Sonja. I think Rodriguiz should have asked Maria from WWE to be Red Sonja. She has the body to play her. If not Maria then maybe another female wrestler who is willing to dye her hair red.

    But from looking at the poster I think this is going to be a flop, and I was so much looking forward to seeing it. Having her lick blood off her sword is so STUPID! Shes never done that in any of her comic appearances going back to Conan #23.

    Rose Mc Gowan does too have the body to play Red Sonja; she’s gorgeous and a strong personality to play a warrior woman. You obviously have NOT seen any films Rose has been in. Me and my husband love Rodriguez films and are big fans of Rose. Can’t WAITE for another great film. I’m very excited about this. It will be al-some and everyone will see.

    Rose is perfect for this part. Just because she in it made me want to see the film even more. I cant wait for another movie with her in it. Me and my husband are big fans of Rose.
