Sony’s PlayStaion 3 is the first Blu-ray player to support BD-Live functionality, which allows the console access to the Internet-connected content available on some of the HD video discs. The firmware upgrade is now available as a free download to PS3 owners directly through the console’s onscreen interface. With BD-Live, movie studios can incorporate the capabilities to download new trailers, additional behind-the scenes footage. the upgrade also includes a better DivX support and PSP integration.
