MONOLITH CLOCK CONCEPT

What if the grandfather clock had a grandchild? The Monolith Clock concept by Emre Bakir and Mustafa Karakus of Negrocobre Design Studio, marries the ideas of a modern statement piece with a functional timepiece. The tall and sleek 3D cube uses two separate planes to display the time (in 24-hour format) in LED crystals on polished glass. The Monolith’s beauty is in its simplicity, and by making use of a dichromatic color scheme of either yellow on black or orange on white it works in harmony with virtually any decor. With the rise in sales of timepieces, an analog clock that fits perfectly in the digital age is, forgive the pun, right on time.
