Jaguar C-XC concept by Phillip Dean

The Jaguar C-XC concept by Designer Phillip Dean is a clean coupe that seeks to retain the brand’s form while minimizing impact on the environment. This Jaguar is powered by Hydrogen fuel cells, with the unit mounted in the hood. Aerodynamics are improved by means of covered wheels and a touching of glass on the body.

A single glass piece stretches from the hood to the rear, acting as hood, windscreen, roof and rear window. While this gives a great look and natural lighting to the car.

That's an awesome concept, even though I'm more of an Aston Martin lover, I would be interested in this if it were to hit the streets.

I love everything but the wheels… hate that covered look. Reminds me of the Audi in minority report.

Yeah, plus the idea is completely flawed. The added weight of the hub covers is more likely to impact the aerodynamics detrimentally than reduce drag…

Just looks like a pimped out Bugatti. What's with the wheel covers?

    awesome concept.
    tail lights are cool, too.
but the wheels and its cover are either hate it or love it.

That thing would be like driving a boat or an f1 car… look how far the steering wheel is from the front of the car

Brilliant concept, I'm surprised about the number of comments about the wheel covers. The weight would not increase much, going by the looks the panels arent going to be made from stone forged steel now are they… maybe 1.5-2Kg per cover if they are made out of some sort of poly carb.. And I'm pretty sure there is going to be an increase in aerodynamic efficiency by allowing the air to flow around the wheel, rather than through the spokes.. take a look at F1, the frisbees on the wheels reduce the drag considerably.
Beutiful design none-the-less, this is what I hope cars of the future will look like!

It certainly looks very Sci-Fi:)) Jaguar fans should also check the new 2010 Jaguar XFR model. That is very interesting as well. Jaguar as a company and car producer is always interesting and coming with new ideas. The main flaw in their system is that few people can actually afford buying their products.

Love its design, its sleek lines and its animal feel. This new Jaguar is by far my favourite, I hope they'll start producing them soon.
