Making the system move is not merely continuing 'a little further', it would be like going from jumping to landing on the moon.

It's a design project. It's not a product ready for wal-mart. Practicality and utility are not always the most important features in professional design, and sometimes aren't even relevant. If someone took this idea, and turned it into an overly complex orrey-style case that could hold 100 cds, and it cost $500, common sense be damned, I'd be pretty inspired to save up. (An orrey is one of those mechanical solar system models whose planets move in fairly realistic motion relative to one another, so an orrey-style case would involve a lot of gears, spinning, and space in order to keep a coverflow-style arrangement as you spun through.

It would be so much better if it actually moved, if you could put more than 5 CDs in it, or changed the amount to suit, then flick through it like you can in coverflow! I mean any douche can stand 5 CDs on a shelf in that pattern. why should I pay for the over priced service of someone else doing it for me?

Great concept, just think they could have gone a little further with it.

As where Coverflow was designed to give one's MP3 library a "tactile" feel, this merely screams "me too, me too". I have to agree with Scott, this product was simply designed to jump (late) on the "i" product bandwagon. It is neither visually interesting or original enough to excuse the fact that it serves no practical purpose whatsoever.

Cool idea!!

scott: I beg to differ! In these times most young people only own a few CD's - if any, and in the later case it might inspire them to buy some physical music!
