Currently there is work being done to create a “neurally controlled artificial limb that will restore full motor and sensory capability to upper extremity amputee patients. This revolutionary prosthesis will be controlled, feel, look and perform like the native limb.” Far fetched you say. Well it is said that scientists have already had success in applying this technology in both monkeys and men. Take that Mom!
