Eye-Fi has announced three new versions of its wireless SD cards in the form of the new Eye-Fi Explore, the Eye-Fi Share and the Eye-Fi Home. Introduced by Jef Holove, chief executive officer of Eye-Fi, the new Wifi enabled SD memory cards serve to expand on the original model in offering a host of new features designed to help the end user transfer files without having to resort to card readers or wiring up your gadgetry – such as digital cameras - to your PC as well as assist in the hassle free sharing of files. Eye-Fi Explore: The Eye-Fi Explore will automatically locate nearby Wi-Fi networks and add location tags to pictures using Skyhook’s global Wi-Fi Positioning System. The new card will also allow users to upload their photos while away from home at more than 10,000 Wayport hotspots in the U.S. Includes 2GB storage; PC and Mac compatible.
