Dual Screen Moonlight Laptop Concept

The Moonlight laptop is just a concept, but is totally possible to build it today since all the technology needed already exists. the concept laptop comes with duel-curved screens, the bigger measuring 16:9 and the smaller 4:3, allowing the users maintain an ideal distance between the eyes and the laptop screen to reduce eye stress.The lower display is a touch screen and can work as a mouse or run a mini OS in the background, or just as an annex of the bigger one. The frame is sensor controlled and lights up in dark and has a pair of long legs to lift the laptop and for proper placing of the keyboard.

    Looks like a brittle design and the screen could get damaged easily. Nice concept otherwise

    @James:
    Dude, get real – its a concept. You have no idea what materials it may be made of or how it may be constructed. Brittle? based on what? Plus, is the screen likely to be more susceptible to damage than any other laptop? Yeah – don't think so.

    To close it, though, looks like the screen would be on the outside- that would be pretty risky. I don't know how they could build a screen durable enough to withstand that sort of treatment! Unless they made some sort of slip-on cover or something?

    @Greg, The Needlessly Defensive

    The statement "looks like a brittle desgin" is based on the damn pictures above! It LOOKS brittle. The way the artwork has been rendered makes the object look like it would be easily damaged. I thought the exact same thing when I saw it.

    Perhaps there is a hard clear cover embedded over the upper screen? If it closed down like a normal laptop screen would be inside & it would have a fatter football shape on ends! – Leisha

    Actually I know the designer and althought all reviews state that the bigger screen is 16:9 an the smaller 4:3 that is incorrect.The bigger screen is in fact 16:9 but combined with smaller,together they make 4:3 screen.

    Chill man, he's saying the screen looks exposed, which it does. It might not be all that bad, but it certainly does look easy to damage. Keep in mind that he's writing on OPINION on a CONCEPT, and the architecture of a system has a LOT to do with it's durability unless of course it's made from iron or something… (sarcasm in case you didn't pick that up..)

    This model looks to be less of a laptop honestly and more of a portable desktop with it's design, I've noticed a lot more of this lately and think it's a neat idea. Honestly, most people who use these aren't actually resting them on their lap for extended writing/designing/gaming sessions, they are on a table, desk, or worst case, on a bed or couch. It makes sense to move towards a slightly less LAPtop-ish (sorry for that adjective haha) frame and add a bit of mobility to the screen for comfort and convenience.

    Cool concept!!
