DESIGN GIVE: CAUSE FOR DESIGN

Want to pick up some rad new t-shirts? Want to donate some money to a good cause? Kill 2 birds with 1 stone by visiting designgive.com and purchasing some fresh threads. Design Give sells t-shirts by some very talented young designers and donates a portion of each purchase to some great charities such as American Cancer Society, American Red Cross UNICEF, and the Make A Wish Foundation.

Here’s what their site has to say:

Creativity is a gift, and we plan on using that gift to make the world a better place.

That might sound overly ambitious, but we’re firm believers that art should be ambitious.

Designgive is a web site for designers, by designers. We are here to give artists like us opportunities to create, to promote themselves and to better society by contributing designs for apparel that can be purchased on our site. A portion of the proceeds from each item sold will go to a charity of the buyer’s choosing. A cause for design, plain and simple. As artists we were given a talent to create, it’s up to you to use those talents to try and make a difference in the world.

How it works

Buyers will select the beneficiary of their donation from seven groups that have established themselves as some of the most respected charitable organizations in the world. These groups include the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, Children with AIDS Charity, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and UNICEF.

We will send accumulated donations to each charity on a quarterly basis.

Design Give already has an impressive roster including Maciej Rakowski , Jeremy Somers , and kick ass illustrator Si Scott . Although, they are always scouting for new talent, so if you are interested in getting your products out to the public, and are down to support a good cause, drop them an email and get into the action.
