Living Proof magazine has a theory. Act less like a magazine, and wind up on more shelves (and in less trashcans). Loaded with stories and artwork from wildly talented, contemporary artists, this mag comes in a non-traditional 5X7, individually wrapped package, that’s entirely free. And Living Proof goes beyond just sharing what’s on the canvas. Through in-depth dialogues, it takes you on a journey through the respective lives and psyches of some of today’s best painters, photographers, graphic designers, and graffiti writers. Their lives, their thoughts, their emotions, and how they broke through to impact the art world with a pencil, paintbrush, or Polaroid.

Supra’s Burgundy Trifecta

You could put on a Harvard Crimson cap, rock a Ron Burgundy sweatervest, and spill a glass of red, red wine on sweatpants, and people will still notice these kicks. Flashy, for sure. Stylish…depends on your style – patent leather ain’t for everyone, especially this colorway. You’re either getting props, or you’re getting smacked, and there’s hardly room left for anything in between. I guess you could say these latest Supra kicks are only for the most serious of shameless, burgundy-loving sneakerheads. Coming in three styles, Skytop, Trinity and Strapped, they range from fully laced to all out fastenable. The uppers are patent leather and perforated, with a white sole and black wax laces (minus the Strapped, naturally). Head to factory413 if you’re looking to cop a pair of these, or check out more just like em. Careful though, the sun shines the wrong way on these bad boys, and you’ll be 100% at fault for burning a hole through someone’s retina.

QT is One Inglourious Basterd

Lieutenant Aldo Ray needs him eight soldiers. And they gon’ be killin Nat-zees. If you haven’t seen this trailer yet, do yourself a favor and leave the blow on the table – because this shit alone will get you plenty amped enough for the night. Quentin Tarantino, (as if I needed to say anything else to pique your interest), has written, directed, and released the trailer for his latest film: Inglourious Basterds.
And you can kind of envision him stroking chin stubble, with that signature smug look on his face, as a flash of inspiration led him to naming this one. And by the title alone, one can tell this ain’t gonna be your grandpa’s conventional war movie. Indignant soldiers on a rogue mission of vengeance for a cause that couldn’t be closer to
home, I think these vicious posters say it all. Raw hatred in the details. Just look at the bat. It bleeds resentment and begs for retribution. It’s a holocaust memorial built to bludgeon its reason for existence. And judging by the other two posters, dialogue doesn’t seem to be top priority for these soldiers. On the other hand, killing motherfuckers appears to be their modus operandi.
