The sneaker has a grey upper and features red speckles all-over. The new Alife Spring/Summer 2009 Footwear is now available.” -DimeWars

We’ve seen Ice Cream/BBC’s “Deep Space” colorway on a few items this year. It seems Alife has taken the hint, and adapted the style to a few of their own. A little brighter, a little more “spring,” the Everybody Mono Low features a splatterpaint style pattern over the entire upper of the shoe, accented by red stitching around the sole. Only time will tell whether these or Ice Cream’s darker variation will take the podium this summer, but expect to see a pair of each on more than a few feet later in the season.

It may not be a Kanye vs 50 Cent sized rivalry, but let’s start the debate. We here at Flylyf would like to hear your thoughts.

“Greedy Genius is about to introduce a new model in to their collection – the Ocean Runner. This model features a classic boat shoe re-invented into a high top sneaker with classic nautical styling. The Ocean Runner features a tonal nubuck upper, external side lacing details and nylon pipped edges. Without a doubt we can say that this is the nicest Greedy Genius silhouette to date- premium materials, attention to detail, without over-designing the shoe. It will be released soon in two colorways.” -High Snobriety

It’s difficult to tell whether the guys at Greedy Genuis set out to make a boat shoe or a Sk8 Hi when they started designing their latest sneaker, but since when is a little old school Vans influence a bad thing?

Regardless, the combination is bafflingly pleasing, and the craftmanship is everything we’ve come to expect from Greedy Genius. Just check out the detail shots below.

I think these may be my favourites of all the new pieces coming out. What’s yours? Post ‘em up in the comments box.

“After first collaborating last season, Stone Island worked once again this season with Aitor Throup to bring you the Articulated Anatomy project. This time the idea was for the garments to directly mirror the range of movement of the body itself. The pieces morph and move, extend and contract, just like the body does. With the industrialization of the garment industry and ever-growing standardization one has excepted that clothes are produced in a certain manner, usually all pretty much the same. In reality though, the body is hardly ever in such a strict pose, as proposed by most garments out there.” -High Snobriety

Aside from his work with Stone Island, he’s recently reworked Umbro’s UK football jersey. His incredible designs are both functional and highly fashionable. It’s about time he started to get some notice from the collective fashion world.

The man’s genius doesn’t appear to be subsiding any time soon, so keep him under your watch. Check out his website at Aitor Throup for some fanastic illustrations.

Those skull things are bags that attach to and detach from the suit whenever you feel like it.

“Mark Ward is a graphic artist based in South London, UK. His work references skate graphics and American culture combined with the everyday mundane and elements of his British identity to bring a different perspective to the American dream. Known for his colorful and humorous work, Mark likes to create imagery that is eye catching but with a hint of a darker undertone.” -Stussy

The imagery depicted in Mark Ward’s latest work with Stussy is raw, cluttered, and undeniably cool. A decidedly ironic look at Americana and its ties to British culture, the graphics look like they were taken directly from an 80′s skateboard manufacturer’s drawing board and ground into something new. The flashy, throwback style that results accurately depicts the current state of affairs of the streetwear world.

In this exclusive set, Mark makes use of the standard Stussy catchphrases, adapting them to his bold, cluttered, explosive style.

Be sure to pick these up at your Stussy chapter store, as they’ll likely run out quick. When you’ve got your mitts on a piece, post back in the comments section here to show off. Those of us that don’t have a store nearby would like to see what the pieces look like in person.
